Fayette Friends of Animals is a no-kill shelter, which means that we do not euthanize an animal to make room for another animal coming into the shelter. Each day, the number of spaces available changes due to adoptions or animals that are being brought to us.

If you must surrender a pet to our shelter, please call the shelter well in advance at (724) 245-7815. This is so that we can make an appointment for the pet to be evaluated for temperament and health. We are unable to take in pets that cannot be safely handled by the staff at this time. Pending a passed evaluation, we will then add your name to our waiting list until a kennel of appropriate size becomes available. Please note that the wait time can range from days to months.
