" Volunteers don't necessarily have the time; they just have the heart." - Elizabeth Andrew Volunteers are the backbone of Fayette Friends of Animals. As a small non-profit organization we depend significantly on volunteers to keep the shelter running and the animals living in a humane, loving environment. No experience is necessary to be a volunteer, all you need is a warm heart for a cold nose! We are so happy that you found us and we really appreciate you wanting to volunteer with us here at FFOA. The animals depend on us to help them find their "fur"ever homes! Volunteers can: Walk both large & small dogs at the shelter Socialize cats in our free roaming cat room Bathe and/or brush both dogs and cats Help with basic cleaning tasks around the shelter Foster animals that may need special attention Assist with adoption weekends at the Greensburg Petsmart ...and much more! Volunteer orientation provides an overview of Shelter policies and guidelines, and serve as an introduction to the various volunteer programs. All volunteers are required to attend an orientation session before volunteering at the Shelter. Interested in fostering? We often get animals that really need some extra love and attention that is difficult for us to give at the shelter. If you are interested being a foster family for our shelter, please contact us!!! *We welcome all volunteers of age 16 and older! *If you are interested in volunteering at the Fayette Friends of Animals, please fill out our volunteer application and call the shelter to schedule an orientation from the following available dates.
